Day 2 of writing every day.
It’s not a new idea in this day and age. Often we hear the word compound interest in the context of investing that would grow our savings far beyond what we’d have earned just letting money sit in the bank until retirement.
But small changes in behavior also compound over time and make giant impacts on our lives. Some writers make a living just writing about the subject of habits and coaches do the same but work hands-on helping people make the changes in life that’s needed for them to reach their goals.
I had finished listening to “Atomic Habits,” a highly praised book on the subject months ago and then recently another book titled “Limitless.” Different books and slightly different focus but the message was essentially the same: unlocking our full potential by making changes and doing away with whatever is holding us back.
To be honest, while I appreciated the message and content of the books in audiobook form, I hadn’t done the crucial part of following the advice in getting myself started. As any writer would know, putting words on paper or just untangling our thoughts into text on a word app and organizing it into something that reads well takes time and effort. So much that sometimes people avoid doing it even though they might write for a living.
I’ve been telling myself that I want to be in a better place than where I am now, so I’m doing what I need to get there one change at a time. And one of the changes is to write every day!
Thanks for reading! Even just checking my blog helps me to stay motivated and focused. And I would like to express my gratitude to those who continue to return and press like to show their approval. I’ll be sure to write again tomorrow.
See you soon!
