No Snow Day

Day 44 of writing every day.

Japan experienced what was said to be a once-in-a-decade cold dip and snow fall yesterday.

Osaka was affected as well but not by much in my eyes in regards to actual snowfall amount. Temperatures dipped to hover around freezing, meaning there was basically no snow at all by the morning. All the leftovers of the night that could be seen outside just happened to be in the shade, where the temperature difference is enough to maintain a little bit of snow and ice.

I was hoping to take the day off because my train line had stopped the entire morning I was up, but I decided I should be a “good” worker and just check and wait it out at the station despite the notices. After all the sun is still rising and so will the temperature, so theoretically the snow and ice should be thawing out.

And my guess was right. After waiting close to 25 minutes at the station, the train came and now I’m on my way to work.

Things might have been different and I’d probably have just taken the day off if I began at 10 like everyone else would on the regular shift, but alas I’m still working starting from 11, meaning I waited long enough for there to be a change in the train situation.

Here’s to another day at work…
