Day 104 of writing every day
I woke up a bit sore again and I’m guessing it’s from the osteopathic appointment I had last night. I’d say in regards to the tightness in my leg and blood flow to my pinky toe that it feels like there are improvements.
The massage part of the appointment felt painful in a good way. I don’t think I’ve experienced that level of feedback for quite some time. That means my legs were quite stiff and my own efforts to release built-up tension haven’t been very successful. The electric massage/localized shock therapy also was spot on; I thought it was just going to be my leg but half of it was lower back and hip which reacted well to the stimulation.
Anyways, Saturday just means I have to teach my Aikido children’s class in the afternoon instead of the same pattern of going to coding lessons. It’s a good change of scenery and activities, but I’m busy nonetheless. I still went in for a “free” lesson today that’s just basically using the classroom computer to study/review course materials on my own.
A break from everything would be appreciated, but I’m doing what I need to do to succeed right now, I believe, and a real reprieve will come once I have secured my future financially for the time being along with my ability to stay in Japan legally. If anything, a break from everything would likely cause my bad habits to return and kill all the progress I’ve been making to establish a new set of habits and acquire new skills.
I’ll be making a mental note to go to bed early tonight so I can wake up early for a day long Aikido seminar in Kyoto next door.
Thanks for reading!
