Itchy Eyes Again

Day 106 of writing every day.

Perhaps the rain yesterday was a blessing in disguise. If it weren’t for the rain, I probably would have been suffering from seasonal allergies. But then the pollen also seems to come out hard after the rain, so rain might be a temporary relief that just delays and exacerbates pollen for the worse.

Personally, it’s kind of hard to want to wake up when my eyes are itching. The natural reaction is to want to keep them closed. It’s a feeling similar to the eyes feeling tired for a lack of better words. Opening them just makes you want to scratch them to keep them open.

I have to get up and push on, however. I began the last segment of the programming course, starting from the basics of JS React. The instructors in the classroom said to get a solid grasp of some JavaScript fundamentals first, so I did what I could. React is fundamentally different from the foundational web coding languages in that it’s basically accessing libraries and learning how to use them to do things that you would/could write out by manually.

The code in the library isn’t really easy to read and understand, but is instead made easier to access by Babel, which is another library of sorts that converts the language so that it’s easier to type out the text that you need to use to access a database of actions/functions.

But I’m not quite certain about how it all works or if my description is accurate. I’ll do what I can to increase my comprehension of the subject in the coming days.

Thanks for reading!
