Day 108 of writing every day.
Allergies were pretty bad this morning and the runny nose kept going for a while. Although nothing seemed out of the ordinary, I felt a little more worn out than before in the morning and was slightly tempted to sleep just a little longer. My nose wouldn’t have any of it though. I promptly got up and took allergy medication after washing my face and hopefully clearing it off pollen that just finds its way in my room.
The past few days have felt pretty consistent like I could get from home to the classroom on autopilot, but I felt like I was doing something new today. Although I knew the route I was taking is exactly the same, it felt like I was looking at things with a feeling like I was looking at it for the first time.
My nose kept running for about thirty minutes even after entering the classroom, so I’d say the pollen saturation is really heavy today. And Japan is quite populated with trees whose pollen can be carried to the cities by the wind.
I don’t really consider myself to be out of it today, but I guess maybe the hay fever is getting to me. I just hope the allergy season passes soon. This year feels like the worst I’ve had in my life so far.
