Day 146 of writing every day.
I had trouble getting myself focused and staying on task today. It’s about breaking bad habits and paving them over with good habits that will help me get me where I want to be. Something that is as simple as studying keeps getting put off by the desire to look at other things makes me wonder why I want to be distracted in the first place.
Anyways, to recenter myself through writing, I’m going to talk about the cabbage I bought weeks ago that had flowered after I cut off some chunks to eat and let it sit out at room temperature. Oftentimes, the cabbage would go bad and the leafy part would decay if I don’t finish it while they’re fresh, but this time I saw some sprouts appear instead of decay.
I decided to let it sit and grow, and the stalk had grown a bit and I saw yellow flowers appear. I didn’t know cabbages grew like that but that’s part of not having an upbringing with farms and gardens where food is grown instead of flowers and grass.
I’m not sure if it’s the rainy weather today, but I’ve been out of focus and hope I’ll be able to make good use of the remainder of the night.
