Day 197 of writing every day.
Having completed interviews on Monday and already gotten the rejection notice from a company that seemed set on not hiring me from the start, I’m waiting for responses from other companies that still haven’t gotten back to me, and for more interviews I still have lined up.
New job postings continue to appear with each passing day and week, so it’s really a matter of time before I find a job. I just prefer to avoid getting myself into the gray area of going past my grace period to find new employment. Unless the immigration bureau has some grudge against me, it’s not likely they’ll use that as a reason to revoke my work visa if I can find work in July.
I’d hate to see all my efforts to establish a life in Japan go up to smoke because of some over zealous immigration agent who thinks they’re dealing out justice and making Japan a better place by tossing out every foreigner who comes into their crosshair.
