Day 209 of writing every day.
The title of today’s blog carries the air of doom and gloom, but I figure that’s what reality is when compared to the fixed system of a fictional reality that we find in games. There’s no saving and reloading your life at certain points to retrace your steps after finding you didn’t get a perfect outcome or if things just haven’t gone your way at all.
The ability to rewind the clock and start over with the knowledge of what is to come and how to reconsider your choices and actions is a luxury no one possesses in reality, and at best all we can do is make estimates. So all we can do is press onwards and make new attempts with the hopes of getting better outcomes. By learning from mistakes we are supposedly wiser when we try to make new attempts towards improving our lot in life. But nothing really comes for free, so those who unfortunately have nothing might not be able to get in on the table to make a bet on the future.
But that could also mean you have nothing to lose, which could be good or bad. People do things that they would never consider if they were living in relative comfort without any need to prove anything to anyone. That could mean resorting to a dark path which I think no one would ever encourage anyone to take.
However, the system is rigged to favor only certain types of people who think a certain way and possess the right resources. Some might find a degree of success but ultimately they are still just pawns in the overall game controller by the game masters making the call. I hope things change fundamentally for the better in my lifetime because the way things have been going makes the past feel like better times. But I don’t speak for anyone else. I’m certain there are many who feel things have gotten better overall despite setbacks and continue in a positive direction even if filled with unresolved issues.
