Day 214 of writing every day.
It’s been two weeks since I finished an interview with a company that told me they’d get in touch after a week. I’m giving up on them even though they seemed like a nice group with a reliable history as a company. The opening was on Hello Work but I’m just going to assume they found someone more experienced or whatever else it is that matches what they’re looking for.
It’s rude to be ghosted in this sense as they did not explicitly tell me that if I don’t hear back from them, that it should be taken as the end of the consideration process. So I have been waiting on them. The bank I interviewed with had the decency reply in a timely manner by returning my resume with a standard rejection letter.
Anyways, I got offered a job with a start-up company that’s trying to get into the engineer and programmer business. The starting pay is low, but I’m taking what I can get and I’m confident it’s the opportunity I need to get my foot in the door to better career options.
