Sea Day Spent On Land

Day 217 of writing every day.

This three-day weekend is made possible with the national holiday known as Sea Day in Japan. I didn’t go to the beach as I had another Aikido seminar to attend and I couldn’t be bothered with being outdoors with the heat and high levels of UV radiation to be careful of.

Today’s been extra hard as Saturday and Sunday were the monthly seminar my dojo holds, so it’s been three days of intense practices. I don’t think this intensity is something I want to do when I get older, but it’s worth the sweat and aches to get the experience of training with other people and learning more from both good and bad examples.

I feel like I went on a voyage if that counts for anything. Enjoy the summer before it gets too hot to even enjoy should an apocalyptic future await us.

Thanks for reading!
