Feeling Better Mentally

Day 224 of writing every day.

Things look like they are going to work out despite the hiccups of finding a job offer later than expected and overstaying my work visa in the sense of being unemployed rather than hitting the expiration date and failing to renew.

One of the tasks I have to do before joining the company is to send in a “skills sheet” that they can use to basically act as my “agent” and show to clients in hopes that they’ll find somebody interested in taking me on for a project that would involve an interview, or at least that’s what I was told.

I had the weekend to get started on it, and it wasn’t too difficult given that I already had my work history resume and general history resume from the job hunting I’ve done this summer and could just recycle that info with some fixes to make the skill sheet workable.

It was a bit embarrassing to have sent in the wrong file to the company head as I had downloaded and renamed the file, then saved it onto a cloud directory using the same name for both files. That ended up with me mistakenly attaching the older, unfinished file to the email and getting asked to finish filling out some sections. I corrected myself and explained my mistake after I became aware of it, and everything was okay it seemed.

I was told there wasn’t any need to fix anything on the skill sheet, so I guess they didn’t have any issues regarding my use of Japanese and the content I entered. It was all based on the template they sent me, so it wasn’t a hard task to do.

Now I’ll focus on the test on Wednesday and get back to them afterwards regarding the documents and some groupware app they use to communicate within the company.

Thanks for reading!
