Day 227 of writing every day.
I didn’t have anything I needed to be in a rush to do today. It was nice being able to slow things down post-exam and catch my breath mentally.
The company boss asked me to download Lark, which I hadn’t heard of before until they told me, but it seems to be a pretty useful application for work communication and management if the company is small.
From what I understand after browsing their website, it’s used for chatting and handling files as well as other things, and is an alternative to Google and Microsoft applications. I’m not sure about it but maybe I’ll feel more comfortable once I get more used to it.
It’s the idea of needing to install and sign up for an app for a job that feels foreign to me. I never had to do that except when it comes to email, which basically is the standard for communication for all people now. I’ve heard of people needing to use Line and such or businesses using Line to distribute info and whatnot, but I never experienced any of it personally.
Well, I hope things go well in the coming days and weeks. I’ll be mailing out the contract and other documents tomorrow that I have to send in to officially become employed.
Thanks for reading!
