Atmospheric Pressure And Mood

Day 255 of writing every day.

Barometric Pressure Headaches are a thing even if many people might scoff at the idea that weather alone is able to affect one’s health. Humans are able to adapt to their environment with clothing and shelters that help maintain body temperature and protect the body from too much exposure to the sun or water that causes the body to be unable to maintain a healthy equilibrium.

Changes in humidity and pressure can upset the balance in our bodies and the way our bodies react and only be controlled to some extent. For example, you can’t just tell your body to stop triggering an allergic reaction to a certain food or stop triggering brain freezes when you eat something icy cold.

Today’s cloudy and significantly cooler compared to the past few days. I got some ringing in my right ear but I think it could be due to a reduced quality of sleep last night. It’s still summer but the temperature dropped just enough last night for the air conditioner to decide it doesn’t need to cool the room anymore on energy saving mode, and I ended up waking up in the morning sweating a bit and feeling less well rested compared to the last couple of days. I was up before my alarm, so I went back to sleep after changing the temperature settings to get it cooling my room once more.

While it has affected my ability to concentrate, it’s still not as bad as feeling distracted for some unknown reason. Anyways, I think a nap will help, so I’ll be doing that later today.

Thanks for reading!
