Day 259 of writing every day.
I got a notice from work today telling me some additional information on the meeting for an assignment. The way my job works, as far as I know, is that I’m basically a hand for hire and my employer basically finds projects in need of programmers/engineers or something along those lines and sets up a meeting. If the project decides to take me on, the company gets paid whatever it is they sold me for, and I get paid the same wages.
The setup is that while I belong to one company, I’m basically a subcontract worker for a subcontracting company in the tech sector. Unfortunately, that means I don’t get much details about the work as it only gets passed down my end through sales, and sales probably only get subcontracting level details that are often limited due to the secrecy behind subcontracting work.
Anyways I got some info such as what station and time on top of what to wear to the meeting. It’s probably just in case some guy decides that since they work in the tech sector that there’s going to be no need for the formalities of being well dressed to essentially what would be a job interview as a subcontractor. I don’t know what to expect until I get more info later this week but I look forward to getting out of my room for work maybe in the near future if the meeting goes well.
