SQL: Structured Query Language

Day 268 of writing every day.

Faced with the fact there aren’t any entry level jobs in Osaka for front end developers, I’m placing my hopes on SQL and other backend languages to get a working assignment. While my employer doesn’t seem the type to make veiled threats that I’d lose my job or won’t get hired permanently if I don’t try harder to make myself more employable to subcontractors, I’m confident they’d let me go if I fail to get any assignments because I was being obstinate and refusing any leads they referred my way because it wasn’t frontend work.

Spending a whole day on SQL, I was able to recall what little knowledge I gained previously while learning PHP and needed some SQL on the side for setting up a database needed for a mock EC site. And then I crammed some new knowledge into my head and practiced playing with some examples provided by W3School.

There’s a lot to cover.

Thanks for reading!
