Day 292 of writing every day.
After working a full week, it finally feels like the weekend again. Being on standby and studying on my own didn’t feel like work at all even though I did clock in and out electronically. Now that I’m showing up to a specific location and tasked with making something then going home afterwards, it does feel like there’s something that distinguishes the weekdays from the weekend.
Feeling tired as a result of work and using my head and just getting around is a welcoming sensation. It’s nice to see want to sleep instead of forcing myself to go to bed. The low quality sleep related to not getting enough activity during the day leaves me feeling half alert most of the time I’m in my room. I start feeling the urge to take naps because I get bored and probably depressed from the social isolation of being alone in my room all day. That’s probably why I feel a lot more motivated when I go to a cafe and essentially pay to read books and take notes.
But this will be a busy weekend. The Kansai region Aikido Seminar is tomorrow and it’ll eat up most of the day. Today, I spent the morning just relaxing and taking things slowly to recover mentally. Not thinking about anything really is important for the brain and boredom stimulates the brain in a good way as well. Saturday is just aikido and commuting time after lunch.
Thanks for reading!
