Day 296 of writing every day.
I can’t say that I enjoy nights where I’m feeling exhausted to the point where I’m not able to enjoy gaming or gather up the will to study after I get home. Work and Aikido is probably going to be an everyday thing for the rest of my working life, and balancing it out will be a bigger challenge should I one day find a partner and start a family. It makes me wonder how exhausted and how many compromises my coworkers that are married must be making to keep their family life going.
Given that the meeting with the client is tomorrow, I’d say there was quite a bit more pressure in the atmosphere of the workplace today with the contracting company wanting to look their best and be as prepared as they can be before heading off to their meeting tomorrow.
I’m only getting started on learning the basics of how projects are managed, but I find the act of tracking hours spent on a task and whatnot to be tedious and it’s not helping that there wasn’t much of an explanation. Maybe my understanding of the Gantt chart will improve with time.
There’s going to be a lot of bumps along the road, but it’s part of the learning process I say.
Thanks for reading!
