Day 303 of writing every day.
I started my day with the interview practice I mentioned in my previous post. It was a relaxed start in the late morning as the sales member of my company who was supposed to help me out today had some stuff to deal with that took up some of his time. I didn’t mind the delay though. It was time I used to practice and revise the skill sheet I made before and that gets sent to the recruiters beforehand.
Having had a group practice session last week and extra time to prepare this morning, I felt a lot more confident this time and my confidence showed. Having put some more thought into how to sell my skills and experience, I think I got my messaging right. And things move really quick since my boss told me that the interview is tomorrow and gave me the details for where and when to meet up.
I’m guessing it’ll be the same as before where I’ll get handed off to some other middleman who’s introducing assignment opportunities. This time it’ll be a group interview if my info is accurate, so that’ll be something new. Maybe I’ll stand out as a good candidate if there’s people around to be simultaneously evaluated.
I don’t know the full details but hopefully it’ll work for me in terms of hours, days, and the actual duties. I’ll spend some time practicing my introduction to get better at sounding more positive and fluent.
