Testing Out My Work Clothes

Day 324 of writing every day.

It’s Wednesday and the last day where I don’t have Aikido practice while on the training assignment. I figured with less stuff to haul around on my commute, I may as well take the opportunity to wear my work issued clothes to see how well they fit and how much I should wear underneath. It’s fall and the temperatures can fluctuate quite a bit between day and night and from day to day. I only gave them some body measurements so they could order the general size that would fit someone around my size but, not perfectly. If anything, the shoes are what I want to test out the most.

Although the shoes are supposed to prevent static build up and discharge, they’re not the best for walking around in. It’s one thing to hold it in your hands and another to wear them on your feet. They felt light in my hands but the added weight is definitely felt when I walk around in them. The good thing is they’re wide and roomy with velcro bands for adjustments instead of shoelaces, so I don’t have to worry about them being too tight or loose.

By the end of the day, I did feel like my feet were getting sweaty, so I’m guessing there’s not very good ventilation with the shoes. I’ll probably need to use antifungal cream for my feet or something as that moisture is going to make my shoes and feet stinky I expect, even through the winter months.

On another note, it’s been laid back for me but I’m sensing the training assignment team is worried they will have too much on their plate once I’m out. I did my best to fill in the VBA code with comments so even a beginner can at least know what everything does. It doesn’t mean they’ll be able to write the code themselves without some experimenting though.

There’s only so much I can do with a limited amount of time but I think I have contributed more than anyone else expected of me as a trainee.

Thanks for reading!
