Day 344 of writing every day.
If there’s anything else I want to complain about, it’s the lack of leadership with how things are run in the assignment I’m working at presently. It’s also pretty insincere to claim that people have different roles to fulfill and that no one is more important than anyone else when it’s very obvious that there are those who give orders and those who obey. I despise it when things are decided on the whims of those in charge.
While the idea that the supervisors are open to suggestions, their approachability is quite lacking given the way and tone in which they communicate, making it clear that they call the shots and will at best take your words into consideration if not dismiss them outright as they are quite certain they have gotten everything perfect already. Unfortunately, if you ask them to show you how to do it right, they’ll just order someone else to show it, so they’re all talk and no action.
If anything, I think leaders who will actually join in on the work for even a little bit, even like a politician just posing for photos, would be better than what is happening right now, which is just them standing around looking for a reason to warn people about mistakes that have been found or point out something not being done in a way they like but never helping out or leading.
Anyways, I’ll try and study consistently on the commute to continue focusing on learning to program.
Thanks for checking in!
