Damn The Exchange Rate

The depressing thought of the day on why I might be fed up with my current job and the work opportunities in Japan.
My salary doesn’t even amount to 10 USD an hour with the exchange rate and there are plenty of other dispatch company positions that pay better by the hour.
Really need to quit this job soon.
Even supposing I make a “reasonable” salary of 250,000 JPY a month, that just barely gets me to the 10 USD an hour threshold if the salary doesn’t puff itself up with any prepaid overtime.

I’m talking about 1 USD to 150 JPY which would evaluate the Yen more than it currently stands in November 2024 against the US dollar.

I am a very reliable translator and interpreter and have a better grasp of Microsoft office than my more experienced peers, can analyze problems and come up with conclusions better and faster as well yet I’m getting paid pennies.
