One Chance Works is currently focused on getting started as a blog about my experiences, mainly in Japan. The content will grow and evolve into different topics, but I hope to first turn it into a portfolio to showcase my writing and reflect on the past or revisit my expectations for the future.

The Idea Behind One Chance Works / One Chance Worksという名前の由来
The idea for the One Chance Works came about as a wordplay around the Japanese-English fusion of the English language into the Japanese language.
このページの名前は「ワンチャン」という表現への思いを込めて名付けしました。自分の名前はワンでカタカナで書かれて、外国人の感覚でのことばあそびで自分の名前も入れるつもりで選びました。
The pronunciation of my name “Wang” in Japanese sounds like the English word for the number “one” and I decided to use that with the term (often used in Japanese katakana) one chance (ワンチャン) in the hopes of connecting it to that one chance to take me closer towards realizing my hopes and dreams.
記者の名前はカタカタで「ワン」と書かれています。自分の名前をホームページ名に入れる同時に夢が成功するようなワンチャンスと繋げたらという念願で、名付けました。このウェブページをまずブログ的な感じで立ち上げて手を入れます。応援よろしくお願いします！
I touched on my dream in the top page of this website, and get a bit more detailed here. I want a decent standard of living without my life being dictated by the clock. I don’t care about becoming super rich. All I want is to truly understand what freedom is and live freely. Aikido is my passion and I want to dedicate more time to practice that I want to quit job to focus on it if I can.
トップページでも夢のことを少し触れたが、細かく説明します。私の夢は簡単なもので、時計に縛られなずにある程度の水準を維持できる生活をしたいです。大金持ちとかは別にいいけど、本当の意味で自由を理解し、生きていきたいと思っています。また、合気道も大好きで、もっと稽古できるように仕事をやめたいぐらいの気持ちです。
