Day 82 of writing every day.
It’s certainly starting to feel like spring is on the way. This isn’t a warm day in late winter foretelling that spring is coming soon before reverting back to being cold. This makes me feel better as the drawback of an office job with the shades perpetually closed means little to no exposure to sunlight for most of the day.
I have less than a month left on my contract before I quit my job in a smooth fashion that no one has any legal reason to complain about. In reality there’s only about two more weeks of work as I plan to use up my paid days off before I go. This means I’ll have some much desired free time and be able to practice Aikido at my dojo normally again.
Of course, I’m not some rich man who is also set to inherit a fortune. I’m just a guy who’s trying to make enough to get by and enjoy things in life, and still have something saved to be able to live comfortably in old age.
My chances of making more than what I’ve been able to so far hangs getting more valuable skills than what I have now. I don’t have any business ideas nor am I the entrepreneur type. I don’t see myself as someone who builds something from the ground up, at least not without meeting the right people and having just the right conditions for such a synergy to happen.
Though I’ll be taking paid time off work, I’ll be using it to schedule more lessons so that I can be ready to work again but as a programmer under conditions I’m hoping will treat me better. That means probably 3 or 4 lessons every weekday if I have the mental and physical endurance of sitting down and cramming materials, and all in Japanese.
